A DEADline

Arghhhh!!!!!!!!!

I have not been sticking to my post-a-day plan. At all. I'm sorry.
It's a DEADline. Emphasis on dead.

I still haven't been writing topics, but I still should have been writing. Today will be quick, but as long as I have something up, it's fine.

When I said quick, I meant quick.
Bye.

A Week of Writing

If you read my last post you'd know that my brother is performing as part of Only Boys Aloud in Britain's Got Talent. I left it a bit late, I know. It's already started. Only Boys Aloud are actually performing tonight, and I will be tweeting throughout the show. I have a couple of status updates, too.  Check @Cerith99 and Cerith Freeman.
VOTE ONLY BOYS ALOUD!! AHHH!!!

So, following from 'Inspiration', I now have two new subscriptions, thanks to Wheezy Waiter on twitter, saying his girlfriend directed him to the first in the following list. The two new subscriptions are Dan Rezler (that's his actual username) - he's an arguably nerdy vlogger from Indiana. The next is his British friend is Hannah Gisarol. She puts her face on.

I like these because I like seeing more real people vlogging about their real lives without it turning a reality show. (TOWIE is just plain annoying.) Also, Dan Rezler likes a vlogger called DStringzzZ - he's done 17 videos over 3 years - which isn't much. He has about 600 subscribers, though, which is impressive - for 17 videos.

I like inside jokes you can build over time with videos. Wheezy waiter has an eagle he punches, a whale tank, an alligator he feeds with clones and a time machine. He also has a non-thing called 'Explosion Wednesday', which is being "tested". The only people who can make it a thing is himself or Oprah. This is really good, because he is lazy. I'm not saying he's not good, but if he hasn't got an idea that day, he has jokes to fall back on if he has to. This means he can make a lot of high-quality videos. He has both quantity and quality (over 600 videos).

So, thanks, if you have, read this for the entire week since the first post. I'm going to leave you now so you have time to VOTE FOR OBA!!
I'll keep tweeting - @Cerith99 and Cerith Freeman on Facebook.

Britain's Got OBA

Okay, so if you've watched Britain's Got Talent today, you know that -

- SPOILERS-

- Only Boys Aloud got through. I find this pretty exciting, as my own brother is a member of Only Boys Aloud. He is currently still in London after the great reveal show.
I've been Tweeting, Tumbling and Facebooking it - well, twice. That doesn't mean I'm not excited - in  fact I'm not a very active Tweeter, Tumbler or Facebooker at all. I tend to reblog, share, like and scroll rather than posting my own stuff. I like having a blog on Blogger - this is my space and my URL.
I did these things twice because I had reasons - I Tweeted and updated my status first, then I reblogged my brother's post, retweeted my brother's tweet then I screamed a status declaring that there's a close-up of my brother on Britain's Got More Talent. (That's right - I only Tumbled once -  :P )

I haven't more to say, other than,

"WATCH BRITAIN'S GOT TALENT AND VOTE FOR ONLY BOYS ALOUD!!"

Yeah - I'm a loud person.

My biggest surprise, of course, was in the first episode of the Auditions in Britain's Got Talent, and after the choir sang 'Calon Lan' (can't be bothered putting a ^ on the 'a' now) - and Simon Cowell said 'I've never heard that song before, but...'
I can't believe this. Calon Lan is the most famous Welsh song after the anthem, 'Mae Hen Gwlad fy Nhadau'.

So - if you are a person and you are reading this, what are your views on talent shows, and if you are, do you like being British/Welsh, and why?

Inspiration

I've decided to keep this up, even though I have nothing definite to say. It's extremely late and I'm really tired. I want to write at least enough so that the page extends. The page extends once you've written enough to be a very large paragraph - then it extends to a roughly A4 page.

Because I haven't got anything to say - I may as well direct you to those I watch on YouTube when I'm bored. Here's a diagram that shows who I watch and how I've come across them:

As you can see, there are people there I don't watch, but they're still worth watching. Smosh was recommended by my brother, so it's on its own.
Charlieissocoollike mentions a lot of other people in his videos. He lives with Nerimon, and he mentioned Wheezy Waiters when making the video 'My YouTube Rules'. He says Wheezy Waiter says 'beardlovers' rather than referring the audience as 'YOU', as there's only one person watching - probably - at a time. Wheezy Waiter mentioned him back in respect and because he likes doing a British accent badly.
Wheezy Waiter mentioned Ze Frank because he inspired him to make videos.
Charlieissocoollike then mentioned Elmify in 'The Liker Chain', where people make a chain. One person mentions one person, then they mention someone else, and so forth. I watch Elmify, and she repeatedly talks about Meekakitty - who inspired her.

INSPIRATION!!

Bye.

5th Post Anniversary

I like celebrating, and I have nothing to celebrate my 5th Post Anniversary....
I need suggestions.

So, on this grand occasion I wanted to talk about something interesting - like memory. I didn't wake up this morning thinking of this, in fact, I'm writing this because I didn't wake up this morning thinking of this post. You see, last night I thought of something amazing for the post. I was so excited, as I slept, I forgot all about it. That, my friend, is why you're left with this.

So, a lot of people think that, like a computer, the brain picks up a memory, and views it. That is not true. Even though it is said that, in sleep, memory is transferred from temporary storage to permanent, this is probably true - yet it still isn't the computer you might think it is.

Memories, are in fact created from scratch. Every time. This means a 'Chinese Whispers' affect happens - it gets altered. Every time you remember something, there's probably something you subconsciously change, which means the more you think about something, the more chance it has of being non-existent in the sense that the happening never happened that way. This means the memories you never think about are actually the safest.
Isn't that crazy? It baffles me.

Another interesting memory fact - ever feel that you've forgotten something just because you've entered a particular room? There's a science behind that. You see, your brain holds so much information that it would be insane not to have some sort of filter. This means you'v got things you need at the front of the mind. Every time you go through a doorway, your brain notices that you're going somewhere new, so your brain clears out the filter to make space for new activities. This doesn't always happen, but it is most likely to happen when you have something definite you need to do.

So, after that, I hope your brain has been exercised. So, thank you. Goodbye until the 6th Post Anniversary (too much?).

1 Baa, 2 Baa, 3 Baa, 4...

So, I kind of got this idea from a video blog of a friend of mine, tangentiaize. Find her on YouTube. Basically, she posted a video about dreams she's had.
I thought I'd share a couple of my dreams. I'm actually going to name them. I'm naming my own dreams.

The Mountain - So, this is my shortest dream. I am in a spider position on top of a mountain made of carpet. This is supposed to be a natural mountain, too. I look down below and think "I'm probably dreaming. I'll just fall and wake up,". I let go of the carpet, I slide down with ease (no friction?) and wake up.

The Chess War - This is pretty short too, and I dreamt this before I even knew about chess. It was a recurring nightmare. I was in a one-person space ship, and it was backing up slowly. In front of the glass were some chess pieces. It was probably the reflection of how I viewed war when I was younger - I was freaked out. I'd shout at the screen, "STOP!!! STOP!!! I DON'T WANT TO GO TO WAR!!!". The chess pieces leaned as the backing up picked up speed, and then I'd shoot forward light-years a second (probably) and woke up.

The Vampire School Festival - Okay, so this is one of the longest dreams I've ever had. At my primary school, there was a festival on the large field. There were loads of tents, folk music, dancing and holding hands in big circles. My close group of friends were there, also from the same school, and my parents, weirdly, were Homer and Marge Simpson. I joined in some of the dances for a while before I saw a small old lady, not unlike the woman from 'Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends' - except she was real, and not animated like my "parents". She was darting around, and I knew she was a vampire. I called my friends, and we went running around the school, hiding from her (in our usual spot mostly). Then, the whistle rang, and, to my amazement, the old lady turned into one of my favourite teachers. We lined up ready to go into school (in the middle of a festival?) and a friend whispered to me "Jump from the first floor,". It sounds crazy, but it wasn't a bad idea to my altered dream brain. We went up the stairs, and where there were usually windows on the first floor, there was nothing. In seconds, the day had turned to night, the sunshine into rain, and from fullness to emptiness. I jumped and landed perfectly. Another teacher was sitting at a bench, remaining dry in the rain - she was also a vampire. She said "Turn right to escape," - so I turned left. I backed on the wall of the left wall of the school, as my class was right above, the teacher probably watching. Then, I ran out of myself - the dream went from first-person to third-person, and I saw myself run across a bridge in the darkness, which doesn't exist in real life.

The Cottage - Another dream from when I was tiny; I imagined that a little cottage was by a long path along the field of the primary school, instead of a road. Sometimes, the headteacher would invite me in - she lived there - for some tea and buiscits.

I wanted to finish with a nice one. Have you had any interesting/cool dreams? Comment!
It's dark again today, so... sweet dreams.

Naming Calls

Why call names when you can name calls?

So, this is the third post, and it's getting pretty late. I'm posting it now, because I kind of set a personal goal to try and post a post every day. This article is about the name of the blog, 'A Dramatic Write'. I named it that, because I am very dramatic! And, honestly, you have got to be okay with that if you're okay with me. What's a blog without honesty?

Okay, so the past couple of days, I used a different format. I'm usually brilliant with computers, but for some reason I didn't notice the justify option, and I stayed with the left align.
<-- Now the words stretch across the space! -->

So, as I said, it's late and I don't have much to say, but since I wanted to explain the name of the blog quickly, I may as well look over some nicknames I've had - which is two or three really.

Mini-Munchkin - I was called this by my mother when I was tiny because it alliterates and rolls of the tongue. I was very little, and I liked it.

Marshmallow/Marshmallo - So, when I was in year 6, a lot of people poked me and stated, "Your arms are    really soft". So, people started calling me Marshmallow. Then, when I joined theSprout, which I talked about in  previous posts, I decided to drop the 'w'. For creative reasons. Sometimes, I spell it with capital 'm's when I can: MarshMallo. Username friendly, no?

Damien (Maslin) - When I started high school, back earlier in Year 7, my new friends started comparing me with a character from a book they had read, and now, because of that, so have I. The book is Marked, the first  of the House of Night series. (Classified as a girl's book, I know - I'm a guy, by the way.) Damien likes to correct people, and is very pedantic, like I am. He uses a wide vocabulary and gets very exasperated with those who don't. The character is also gay, but I don't know where the comparison stops. Before that, I  think.

With that over, I'll stop writing until the sun comes over the horizon - but not straight away. Maybe it'll go dark, like today.

Viewed Views

So, this post is my second, and is all about my views. It especially focuses on people, and how I can't understand a lot of them. I mean, some people seriously think they're insulting you when they're either stating a fact, or just voicing their opinion of you in a sharp way.
The main confusion I get is when people call others 'gay'. They think it's an insult - some people take offence to this, and others brush it off. They get away with it. It's an extremely homophobic thing to say, and I don't think people should be allowed to say these kind of things. At least I have the sense to say, "I don't know". I've barely started growing up, so I can't really make assumptions.
Sometimes people call things gay to express their opinion. For some reason, it's come to mean 'bad', even though the term used to mean happy - a lot of people say it without thinking about it. I mean, how does the ear you decide to pierce determine your orientation? It just baffles me.

Some people need to grow up. I know it sounds harsh, but it's true! Many people just don't realise what they're saying sometimes. Some people are really disruptive, and say the stupidest things, even if they're in top set.
(NOTE: If you don't have 'sets', where you're from, it's how they decide what work to give to students based on if they're able [smart enough]. Top set (set 1) is the smartest, and the lowest set (set 3/4) is for the ones who need most help.) Then again, if you watch politicians these days, they seem to be acting the same way as those in my classroom - and these are meant to be the academics - the ones who lead our country to glory. Why can't they act the part?
I enjoy watching/reading/listening things by people like Stephen Fry. He's very inspiring. Even though, as a comedian, he's done his fair share of silly jokes, but he is extremely smart, he hosts QI, a British general knowledge quiz show, and his series, Fry's planet word, was very enjoyable to watch. He delved deep into not only the English language, but Irish/Gaelic, Somalian, and the re-building Israel's language.

I read an article on www.thesprout.co.uk - theSprout is a youth organisation in Cardiff, Wales. They organise events, and they work with CLIConline to let young people from 11-25 write articles and go to local events. theSprout is the Cardiff branch of CLIConline, which is for the whole of Wales.
Anyway, I read an article called 'Confessions of a Proofreader', where the sub-editor talks about the annoying misspellings of words, in general. There's the your/you're mix-up, the there/their/they're and the two/to/too. There are clear ways to use them, so why don't you?

For the record, I also don't like "text speak", like 'u r' instead of 'you are', but I won't cover that now. Now, I have to go, until tomorrow (I hope). Good bye!

The Great Beginning

Okay, so this is my new blog. Well done. We have established something. The weird thing is, the spellcheck on the 'post' page, doesn't recognise the word 'blog'. Or spellcheck.
A lot of video blogs start, if I can say so, poorly. I haven't actually read a blog yet, but I do enjoy video blogs, so there may be some stage directions.

* wink wink *

That was a stage direction. I know it wouldn't count in a script (and I would know), but it'll do for now. I would have, of course, done some more research if I could've, about blogs, but I couldn't find a way to read one. How am I meant to know if I want to subscribe without reading it? It's a bit strange how you can only go about it by guessing a link. There's probably another way. If there is, tell me.
The reason I'm doing a blog, is the fact that I've always wanted to have a video blog, or vlog. The problem for me is that: (a) I'm twelve years old, (b) I live with a probably intruding family, and (c) I just don't have space to set up.
I would, obviously, just film myself if I could, but I can't just hold up a camera, because the only one I have is built into my computer, and this is where I come round to reason 'c'.

So, a background story -

* sad  BGM *

- not sad -

* childhood memories BGM *

- I'm still a child -

* cricket noises *

- yes, I agree. Awkward.
This is what I mean. I want to be able to make these kinds of blogs which include the things vlogs have that I don't, so this is a written vlog, more than a blog. Right, background story.

So, I live in the Cardiff area, which is in Wales, United Kingdom, if you're unaware. I go to school, yadayadayada - I never get how you're meant to spell that. I like rock, glam rock and....showtunes. I know, weird mix, but have you seen Rock of Ages?

When I grow up, I'd like to be either an actor (yes, with singing and dancing under my belt), professional author, vlogger or a musician. My friends and I would kind of like to start a band, but we are far from that goal. Most of us are instrumentally illiterate. I'd like to think that is a phrase. Why not?

As you can see by the length of this post, I really like writing, and that's why I'd like to be an author, but I'd also like to make vlogs, which I've made pretty obvious. I lay down my pen now, or finger - and will continue on the morrow...
Does the morrow move with time? Is it a case that yesterday's under the morrow, and by tomorrow we expect to be on top of it, yet every day the morrow is moving with us? How agonising would it be, every day, trying to escape a prison of a morrow....

With that food for thought, I say try to avoid having a bad bye.
