Viewed Views

So, this post is my second, and is all about my views. It especially focuses on people, and how I can't understand a lot of them. I mean, some people seriously think they're insulting you when they're either stating a fact, or just voicing their opinion of you in a sharp way.
The main confusion I get is when people call others 'gay'. They think it's an insult - some people take offence to this, and others brush it off. They get away with it. It's an extremely homophobic thing to say, and I don't think people should be allowed to say these kind of things. At least I have the sense to say, "I don't know". I've barely started growing up, so I can't really make assumptions.
Sometimes people call things gay to express their opinion. For some reason, it's come to mean 'bad', even though the term used to mean happy - a lot of people say it without thinking about it. I mean, how does the ear you decide to pierce determine your orientation? It just baffles me.

Some people need to grow up. I know it sounds harsh, but it's true! Many people just don't realise what they're saying sometimes. Some people are really disruptive, and say the stupidest things, even if they're in top set.
(NOTE: If you don't have 'sets', where you're from, it's how they decide what work to give to students based on if they're able [smart enough]. Top set (set 1) is the smartest, and the lowest set (set 3/4) is for the ones who need most help.) Then again, if you watch politicians these days, they seem to be acting the same way as those in my classroom - and these are meant to be the academics - the ones who lead our country to glory. Why can't they act the part?
I enjoy watching/reading/listening things by people like Stephen Fry. He's very inspiring. Even though, as a comedian, he's done his fair share of silly jokes, but he is extremely smart, he hosts QI, a British general knowledge quiz show, and his series, Fry's planet word, was very enjoyable to watch. He delved deep into not only the English language, but Irish/Gaelic, Somalian, and the re-building Israel's language.

I read an article on www.thesprout.co.uk - theSprout is a youth organisation in Cardiff, Wales. They organise events, and they work with CLIConline to let young people from 11-25 write articles and go to local events. theSprout is the Cardiff branch of CLIConline, which is for the whole of Wales.
Anyway, I read an article called 'Confessions of a Proofreader', where the sub-editor talks about the annoying misspellings of words, in general. There's the your/you're mix-up, the there/their/they're and the two/to/too. There are clear ways to use them, so why don't you?

For the record, I also don't like "text speak", like 'u r' instead of 'you are', but I won't cover that now. Now, I have to go, until tomorrow (I hope). Good bye!
